A big thank you to all of our customers for joining us and recommending us to friends and family.

We are still offering discounted transfers to Namecheap with coupon code SWITCH2NC. Please pass it on.

I transferred my domain name from GoDaddy to NameCheap and have been very happy with the price and service here. I wish I transferred sooner.
I used to have a shared hosting plan with GoDaddy but I migrated to another company as well.
I loved the prices for your shared hosting plans and would have migrated my website to you guys. However, I found out that my website will be suspended if my account reaches monthly bandwidth limit or causes server overload which was really the only reason why I chose a different company for web hosting. :(

  5. [...] On April 9, I transferred my domain name to NameCheap.  NameCheap offered a nice discount to people who transferred their domain from GoDaddy.  They announced that they would donate $1 for every transfer to Save The Elephants.  After five full days of the promotion, they had already raised over $20,000 and even donated another $10,000 as a big thank-you to all of their supporters and new customers.  You can read more about this on their blog. Hello Jessica. This is how cPanel is designed. You get warnings as your bandwidth usage nears its limit via email so you can get in touch and upgrade your plan.

  7. Jessica Lee says:

Hello, Matt. Thank you for the message.
Yes, I am aware of that about cPanel. I also have learned and understand that most shared hosting plans have to suspend a website that causes server overload since it’s not fair for other account who share servers with you.
My website is new so it’s not using much bandwidth, yet. However, I’ve seen some bloggers with a small shared hosting plan whose blogs received a great amount of visitors out of blue because their designs or articles were featured on popular, well-known blogs.
Even if my website uses less than 60-70% of my bandwidth usage per day on average, my account will be suspended if my account causes server overload for just days…correct? What if this happens while I’m on a vacation and have no smart phone or access to my e-mail address? Will I get warnings via text messages or voice messages on my phone? Will I get to have at least a few days to purchase more bandwidth or upgrade my account before my it gets suspended?
I will be more than glad to upgrade my hosting plan if my website has many visitors regularly but not if it’s just getting thousands of visitors for just a few days throughout the year.

  8. Jessica Lee says:

Oh, by the way, in the las sentence I wrote, I meant to say…I wouldn’t want to upgrade my account if I only use about 40-60% of bandwidth on average and just get an unexpected bandwidth peak or overload for a few or several days out of the year.
